Children and families

Families & the Younger Generation

Family Events

We arrange a number of activities during the year for families where people of all ages are welcome.  These include barbecues, fireworks parties, cafe church, family fun evenings and all-age services.

Sunday C-Kers

Sunday C-Kers is our Sunday Morning activity for children under 11 during the Morning Service.  The children spend 15-20 minutes in the service and then go to activities for their age group.  There is a creche for babies and smaller children. Sunday C-kers is a fun activity where children learn more about the Christian faith.  From time to time there are All-Age Services where the children are part of the morning service and these are usually on special occasions in the year.

 Wednesday C-Kers

We’re a children’s club for 7-11 year olds that runs from 6-30pm to 7-45pm in term-times. The entrance fee is 30p and for that you’ll get a fabulous time doing all sorts of games, crafts and  activities such as parachute games, treasure hunts, painting, cooking, modelling, making percussion instruments and many other things. As a Christian club we aim to provide the children with a safe environment to discover how important the Bible is and how to apply it to our everyday lives to build good relationships and attitudes.

Youth

Our Sunday Morning Older Group (SMOG) meets most Sunday mornings during the Morning Service.  We look at topical matters and how the Bible applies to our lives. We fully support BOOST, the local Christian youth work organisation,  which runs the Academy Chaplaincy service at Felixstowe Academy.

Safeguarding

All our children and youth workers are fully DBS checked and we have a Safeguarding Policy in place.
