Maidstone Road is the first non-conformist church to be founded in Felixstowe, and the church building is the oldest of this type in Felixstowe.
Like most non-conformist the body of the church is rectangular rather than in the shape of a cross, and has a balcony on the three sides overlooking the pulpit. The building includes large school rooms on both floors for youth and children's work as well as the many activities that take place during the week.
As the name suggests the church building is located in Maidstone Road not far from the High Street in Walton, that was originally the main road into Felixstowe. This mainly residential area is one of the oldest parts of Felixstowe.
